Access Statement For LYNBAR GUESTHOUSE
Introduction
The Lynbar Guesthouse offers 9 guest rooms 6 of which have full ensuite, 1 has private facilities and 2 share a shower room.
There is level access to the ground floor but unfortunately there is a flight of 14 stairs to climb to the lowest level bedrooms.
The Lynbar Guesthouse is situated close to Blackpool town centre and gives fairly level walking to the Promenade, Tower, Winter Gardens, Opera House and Grand Theatre.
Pre-Arrival
• Enquiries can be made by phone, fax, email and our website also features online booking.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• There are double yellow lines outside the Lynbar which only gives you time to unload your luggage and check in, but does mean you can always drop off passengers within 6 metres of the front door.
• Disability badge holders are entitled to park for 3 hours in every 24 hours.
• The closest public parking is located just 150 metres away it is pay and display with designated disabled parking bays.
• Secure parking can also be arranged for you if prefered.
• We will always help with your luggage from the car to the bedrooms.
• Vance road is a level tarmac road and there is a concrete path upto the front door.
• The phone number is displayed on the outside of the guesthouse if you require assistance.
Main Entrance & Reception
• There is a very slight concrete ramp to the front door giving level access to the reception, There is pen and paper on the reception if required.
• The entrance, reception and all public areas are well lit and door is brown in colour and set in a white frame.
Public Areas - General (Internal)
• Due to the age, character and layout of the building we are unable to provide lift facilities stairs must be climbed to all bedrooms ranging from 14 - 32 stairs.
• All the building is carpeted throughout except the bathrooms which are vinyl.
• There is a public telephone in the reception area.
• although the ground floor is level throughout the 1st and 2nd floors have varying levels within them.

• The public toilet is situated on the 1st floor.

• Spacious level dining room with large print menus available on request.
• The entire building is non smoking throughout.

Bedrooms
• All bedrooms are situated on the 1st and 2nd floors.
• There are colour contrasting door / frames
• We have an automatic fire alarm system in place.
• There are no bunk beds in any of the bedrooms.
• There is tea and coffee facilities in each bedroom with a cordless kettle.
Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [Ensuite or Shared]
• 6 of our bedrooms have ensuite featuring shower, wc and wash basin with level entry from bedroom.
• 1 room has a wash basin and shower within the bedroom and private wc along the landing, there are 3 steps to navigate to reach this wc.
• 2 rooms have a wash basin in the room and share a large shower room and wc within the same level corridor.
